  1. i may be informed about the vaikasi visakam festival of navatirupathi and the vaikunta ekadasi festival being celebrated in navatirupathi so that i can participate and have a darshan of lord

    • The above details are for NavaTirupathi Vaikasi Visakam festival held at Alwarthirunagari only. Regarding Vaikunta Ekadashi festival, it is uniform across all Sri Vaishnava temples. It normally falls in the months of December / January. You might check the Sri Vaishnava Calender page in the site during those months to know the exact date.

      • Adiyen Ramanuja Dasan,

Please let me know the timings of the Garuda seva of 9 perumals. I will be reaching tirunelveli on 8th June morning. I would like to know the timings I should be at the temple and places to stay around. I am travelling alone and am not sure of the places to stay in case the garuda sevai ends in midnight what are my options to reach tirunelveli or nearby towns where i can stay. your help is much appreciated. God bless u

      • The NavaTirupathi perumals arrive at Alwarthirunagari around afternoon on the Garuda Seva day (8th June). Thirumanajanam for all the Perumals take place in the evening. The Garuda Seva procession starts around 10 PM and it goes through many streets of Alwarthirunagari. It usually ends only early morning next day around 3 – 4 AM. You can stay at many mutts available like Uttrathi Mutt, Ahobila Mutt and some more. But mostly you will have to book before for accommodation. But I have seen thousands of people flock form by the nearby villages to witness the event, most of them sleep wherever they find a vacant place (These people remind me how simple life really is!). And since the utsavam takes place through the entire night and you are travelling alone I don’t think you would have any issues during your stay. I am sure you would have a wonderful experience with 9 Perumals and 2 Alwars. Talking to a couple of locals is a good idea.

  2. Sir,

I’m gopal from Awarthirunagari, Now I’m staying at Chennai. I miss the vaikasi festival in birth place. Anyone telecast the function in TV – live programs?

Can U suggest for the same to some media which is available in Chennai…?

    • Sir, I have seen people from Channels & Publications during Vaikasi Visakam, but I have no idea regarding the channels that telecast the Utsavam. If you have relatives in Alwarthirunagari, thye might have an idea.

  3. Please publish the vaikasi visakam garuda seva 2012 in you tube. May be this month 29.05.12 is garuda seva. This is the useful for all devoties.
